Allah's
Messenger (ﷺ)
said, "When Ramadan begins, the gates of Paradise are opened."
I heard
Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) saying regarding Ramadan, "Whoever prayed at night in it
(the month of Ramadan) out of sincere Faith and hoping for a reward from Allah,
then all his previous sins will be forgiven."
Some people were shown the Night of Qadr
as being in the last seven days (of the month of
Ramadan). The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "Seek it in the last seven days (of Ramadan).
With the
start of the last ten days of Ramadan, the Prophet (ﷺ) used to tighten his waist belt (i.e. work
hard) and used to pray all the night, and used to keep his family awake for the
prayers.
Allah's
Messenger (ﷺ)
used to practice I`tikaf in the last ten days of the month of Ramadan.
When there comes the month of Ramadan,
the gates of mercy are opened, and the gates of Hell are locked and the devils
are chained,
The Prophet (ﷺ) or Abul-Qasim said, "Start
fasting on seeing the crescent (of Ramadan), and give up fasting on seeing the
crescent (of Shawwal), and if the sky is overcast (and you cannot see it),
complete thirty days of Sha'ban."
With the start of the last ten days of
Ramadan, the Prophet (ﷺ) used to tighten his waist belt (i.e. work hard) and used to
pray all the night, and used to keep his family awake for the prayers.
The Messenger of Allah said:
"Whoever provides the food for a fasting person to break his fast with,
then for him is the same reward as his (the fasting person's), without anything
being diminished from the reward of the fasting person."
"The
Messenger of Allah said: 'Fasting is a shield."' (Sahih
The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "(The performance
of) 'Umrah during Ramadan is equal to Hajj (pilgrimage)." Or said, "Equal
to the performance of Hajj with me."
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who observes
As-Saum (the fasts) in the month of Ramadan, and also observes As-Saum for six
days in the month of Shawwal, it is as if he has observed As-Saum for the whole
year."
"I do not know that the Messenger
of Allah recited the whole Quran in one night, or prayed Qiyam until morning,
or ever fasted an entire month except Ramadan." '
“When the
last ten days of Ramadan began, the Prophet (ﷺ) used to stay up at night, tighten his
waist- wrap, and wake up his family (to pray).”
